If you are a collector of original art by a famous artist, or a collector of sports memorabilia, you would probably love to have a piece that was signed by the artist or athlete, right? Think about this, though. It is really nice to have a signed Certificate of Authenticity by the artist. However, what proof do you have that the artist really signed it, and that it is not a fake?

Sometimes vendors of Sports Memorabilia present photographs to show that an athlete- a baseball player, for example, has signed a hat. They might even supply a Certificate of Authenticity for that. But again, you might still wonder if the athlete really signed the Certificate, and is what you see really the hat in the picture.

One way to absolutely know that a particular artist or athlete has signed a Certificate of Authenticity for a piece of artwork or sports memorabilia is to have the Certificate notarized by a credible, professional, trusted Notary Public. Courtney Love Rocks at the Henry Fonda

Last night I saw Courtney Love performing in her band, "Hole", at the Henry Fonda Theater in Hollywood, California. She looked great, and she sounded fantastic! I was never really a fan of hers, but, then again, I never had bought her music or was exposed to it much except for KROQ. My friend had lent me some of his CD's to listen to before the concert, to get me acquainted with her music and to get me in the mood. I can say this: the place was packed! Everybody had a good time. She played new stuff from her new album (due out next week) and a bunch of old ones, too. She sure looked cool up there playing that guitar!

Courtney sang one song accompanied by special guest Linda Perry on keyboards (I think Linda must have written that song). It was a new kind of song for Courtney, but I think she may have a hit on her hands. As you might know, Linda also wrote "Beautiful" for Christina Aguilera, and she also writes songs for Pink.

The opening song was "Skinny Little Bitch", from the new album. The crowd went wild! I like that song.

Courtney played for an hour. It was a fun experience. Hole is back! So is Courtney Love!

Tax Time Keeps Me Busy

Yes, sir, tax time keeps me really busy. And I don't do taxes- just my own! Having to figure mileage and keeping track of all my other stuff is challenging, and yet rewarding, after the tax return is sent in, that is! I'm running behind this year, but I'm hanging in there, and I can't wait until it's done!

A Visit to Paramount Pictures in Hollywood

Today I got to notarize something at the famous Paramount Pictures Studio lot in Hollywood, CA, which is only about 5 miles from where I live. I had driven by it many times (at least twice a week, probably) and I had been inside a few times when I worked for Fed Ex in Hollywood, but this is the first time that I got some Notary work on the lot.

My impression of the place? Very pretty and neat (at least the part that I was on). I also went over to their Commissary and took a plate of penne pasta with mushroom sauce to-go, along with a slice of garlic bread!

I expect that once I start auditioning for movies (when I'm done with school), I'll be seeing the inside of that studio more often!
