Processing documents at the California Secretary of State, which is a necessary step which must be taken before submission to the Consulate, currently takes about a week at the Los Angeles office. We charge $125 for the first personal document, and $175 for the first business document in our order with he Chinese Consulate. Additional authenticated documents are $50 per document. The Chinese Consulate charges $50 per authenticated business document, and $25 per authenticated personal document.
We can also authenticate documents for use in China through the Chinese Embassy in Washington DC, and with the New York Chinese Consulate General.
