Many of my clients have told me that when they are trying to find a Notary Public online, that the notaries or notary companies that they call only offer Mobile Notary Services. They are often relieved when they find my company, for I have always accepted clients at my office (which is my at my apartment). People who visit my home location pay only $15 per notarized signature, and no travel fee. An overwhelming majority of people who visit my office location find it to be stylish, comfortable and pleasant. This office is located at 4025 W. Adams Blvd. #8, Los Angeles, CA 90018. We see people by appointment only, but our phone line is open 24 hours a day.
Some clients need Mobile Notary Services- there is no way to avoid it. Some clients are at work and cannot get away, so either myself or one of my affiliate notaries will visit the clients at their office. Other clients want the notaries to visit them at home. Still others need service at a hospital. Sometimes we are asked to visit a doctor's office, or a dentist's office. Sometimes we get requests to go to the airport. Generally, at our company, we charge a $50 travel fee, for a distance of up to 15 miles. We also charge the per-signature fee of $15 per notarized signature. Our travel fee increases depending on the distance, and time of day (a call at 11AM will be the normal fare; a job at 5PM on a weekday, where the request is for the notary to come immediately and drive 45 minutes, will certainly cost more than a $50 travel fee, since the notary will have to drive through rush hour traffic. Late-night requests are also slightly more.
For people who like the convenience of Mobile Notary Service but also like to save a little cash, David Ransom invented our
Starbucks Special. With the Starbucks Special, we travel to any Starbucks location within 15 miles of our office location on West Adams. For this service, we charge only a $20 travel fee, plus $15 per notarized signature. Using the Starbucks Special, you may substitute a Starbucks location for a Peet's Coffee, Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, or any café within 15 miles of our home location. What's great about the Starbucks Special is that if you need more than one person to get signatures notarized, it's a great informal meeting place: it has music, it's got coffee or tea (or snacks), and it usually has a restroom. What's cool about the Starbucks Special is that you get to get out of the office, or out of the house, and not have to worry about anything except getting your paperwork handles by a professional Notary Public, at a great price.
